More than 40 kids and several parents attended a special ceremony on March 19 at the San Clemente Boys and Girls Club made possible by voiceofageneration.org. As their peers watched, four children were handed their published books to view for the first time. Donor Jay Avery, who funded the pilot program, was on hand to assist with the ceremony. The young authors proudly shared their books -- stories that they wrote and published about their lives -- with family, friends and staff. Following the ceremony was a reception for the young authors, their family, along with foundation staff and volutneers. The kids donned t-shirts donated from the Ducks of Anaheim.
